A little about me:

I'm a Writer / Director / Producer / Practical FX Nerd who chooses to write this "about" section in first person form. Look, we all write these ourselves, and I just find it odd when others go full Costanza in 3rd person.

 

Okay, now that's out of the way...I like to make things. I also often attempt to fit a practical effect into each of the things I make. Because commercials are mini movies, and movies are magic. They are an opportunity to escape our natural laws and enter the fantastical, which, for me, has always been their draw.

Throughout production I like to "Bruce Lee" it, and be like water. I've found some of the best outcomes have sprung from seemingly unfortunate restrictions, be it budget, location, timing, weather, etc. So I like to stay open to these obstacles, as they can breed creativity. There is also an inherently addictive and overwhelming sense of accomplishment that accompanies success in these instances.

 

Let's see...what else? As write this, the shuffle has gone from

Bowie's "Life on Mars" to Ice Cube's "Good Day." I've deliberately read "Don Quixote" twice without reading the last few pages, because I felt it apt. When I'm done here, I'll likely play with my dog, calling her 15 different nicknames which in no way resemble her actual name. Oh, I've won awards, too, but I find that sort of thing a bit boastful when writing my own "about" section. Maybe that's why others go with 3rd person? Unsure.

 

At any rate, I'm based in LA and NYC, have passport, and will travel.
